DLA Piper announced this week that it is adding to its Boston office, bringing on Adam Ghander as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. Specifically, he will work on M&A transactions, as well as early-stage investment and corporate governance issues. Prior to starting at DLA, Ghander was a partner in Nutter McClennen’s business department, and co-chair of its private equity group.
Victor Barcot is a new managing director in Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas E&P group, according to a press release this morning. Barcot joins with two decades of energy banking sector experience, and was previously a managing director in Deutsche Bank’s global oil & gas group. He will work out of Houston, and prior to joining Deutsche was a managing director in HSBC’s Resources and Energy Group.
The Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) named Lee Shaiman as its new executive director, according to a press release from the trade association on Wednesday. Shaiman has extensive corporate loan industry experience, has spent time at firms such as GSO Capital Partners and UBS Warburg, and joins with experience both as a portfolio manager and investment committee member. Current LSTA Executive Director Bram Smith announced his retirement earlier this year.
